Cephas Galley Esq.

Cephas Galley Esq. currently serves as Director of Legal Services, supervising; the Litigation, Contracts & Wayleaves, Investigation & Prosecution Divisions.
He joined the company in May, 2004 as Manager- Litigation and rose to the position of General Manager - Contracts & Wayleaves and was appointed Ag. Director of Legal Services in June 2014.
He has been involved in almost all the structuring and negotiation of the power purchase deals of the Company. He was part of the Ghana delegation that negotiated the Ghana Energy Development and Access Project (GEDAP) I &II with the African Development Bank and the World Bank. He is the representative of the Company on the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) for the 450 MW West African Power Pool (WAPP) Domuli Regional Power Generation Facility.
He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and African Society of International Law.
He obtained his first degree in B.A (Hons) (Law & Sociology) from University of Ghana. He proceeded to pursue a professional law course at Ghana School of Law. On completion, he qualified as a Barrister-At-Law and Solicitor and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1994. He was admitted as a Notary Public of the Republic of Ghana in 2007.
Cephas Galley Esq. holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Law & Sustainable Development from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, The Netherlands.
He graduated with a Masters in Energy Law & Policy (LL.M) from University of Dundee, United Kingdom. Furthermore, he holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ghana.
He has undertaken various courses both in Ghana and abroad in the areas of:

• Financial securities
• Enterprise and Investment Law
• Procurement
• International Business Transactions Negotiations
• Infrastructure Development Law
• Corporate Governance and Secretarial Practices
