Mr. Ing. Samuel Adjidjonu


Ing. Samuel Adjidjonu joined ECG in 1988 as Assistant Electrical Engineer (AEE) after having completed his National Service from 1986 and rose through the ranks to his current position as Acting Director Network Project.He has almost 30 years of experience in Electrical Network Planning, Design and Construction as well as Project Management.

As Ag. Director for Network Projects, he is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination and monitoring of the activities of the Network Projects Directorate to ensure smooth and effective implementation of all major electrical infrastructural projects approved by ECG, the Ministry of Energy and Donor Agencies. He oversees three (3) Divisions namely; Urban Projects, Special Projects and Rural Projects.
Ing. Samuel Adjidjonu holds a B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from KNUST –Kumasi obtained in 1986, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Finance Option, from the University of Ghana Business School, Accra in 2003 and a Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers.

Ing. Adjidjonu has a rich background and immense training in Electrical Network Design, Electric Utility Management as well as Goods, Works and Services Procurement as a result of having attended several World Bank funded training programs both home and abroad. These include capacity building at ITC –ILO in Turin Italy, Utility Regulation and Strategy Course in Florida – USA, training in “Tariff Formulation and Capital Contribution” with ESBI in Ireland, “Power Quality, Electricity Pricing and Distributed Generation” at Pennsylvania State University –Pittsburg USA, Assuring the Quality of World Bank Assisted Operations in Africa conducted by the World Bank AFTEG Operations in Tanzania. He is married with three (3) children.
